The Village of Niverville encompasses Kinderhook Lake with fine water front properties and surrounding communities.
Ichabod Crane Central school district in northern Columbia County is home to the Crane Riders. With an average graduating class size of 175, the students enjoy small classrooms, yet ICC offers academic, cultural and sports programs to rival larger urban school systems. High levels of academic achievement can be found each year with graduating seniors going to prestigious colleges and universities such as Columbia, Northeastern, Cornell, Boston College, and NYU to name a few.

The Community

Located in the Town of Kinderhook are a variety of shops and markets. The Hannaford Shopping Plaza offers food, wine, restaurants and shops. The Villages host a variety of retail stores, antique shops and eateries.
Farmer markets are very popular and most towns host seasonal or year round markets well attended by local farmers and merchants.
If you love to run and walk we have miles of scenic country roads; and in June, the Kinderhook Runners club sponsors the OK 5K.
In the summer you can get to the Berkshires and Tanglewood in 45 minutes for concerts and summer theaters.
